One of the greatest privileges of my work is the opportunity to know and walk alongside truly remarkable people. I often say I have the best clients on the planet—and I genuinely mean it.
Life brings challenges to everyone, regardless of who we are or where we come from. During those seasons, having a compassionate, nonjudgmental person to listen—someone equipped with warmth, and effective, evidence-based tools—can make all the difference. I love being that person for others. I am continually learning, growing, and refining my skills so I can help people heal, gain clarity, build resilience, and ultimately flourish.
My fascination with the human brain began in grade school, when a neurologist who had recently moved into our neighborhood showed me a model of the human brain. That moment sparked a curiosity that has never left me. Not long afterward, I earned second place overall in the Quad Cities Science Fair for a project exploring how auditory words affect the brain. Looking back, I think that was when I truly fell in love with understanding how the brain shapes our thoughts, emotions, relationships, and lives.
Today, neuroscience continues to advance at an incredible pace. We are learning more every year about the powerful connection between the brain and the body, and with that knowledge come new, research-supported approaches that can help people heal and thrive. I find that both fascinating and deeply encouraging.
Outside of my practice, I serve as President of the Notre Dame Club of the Quad Cities, in addition to serving on a few other education and health-related boards.
When I'm not working, you'll most likely find me spending time with family and friends, enjoying a great meal (favorites include Armored Gardens, Basil & Vine, Smash Pizza, Monarch Kitchen & Bar, and Village Corner Deli), having meaningful conversations, celebrating just about anything related to birthdays or Christmas, or cheering on the Fighting Irish. Go Irish!
